With all that you have going on, you shouldn’t have to worry about ordering the essentials you’ll need every week. Recurring orders lets you automate your regular purchases on exactly the schedule you need – freeing you up to focus on more important things.
How does it work? Let’s say you order coffee beans on a weekly basis. Instead of having to remember to place your order, create the purchase and send it off in time, you can now create a ‘recurring order’ that you set up once and we take care of the rest. Simply head on over to Purchase in Lightspeed Inventory, select recurring orders and create a new recurring order. You can select the supplier you want to set up the recurring order for, put together your regular order and then schedule the order. You can name the order, add additional email recipients, choose if you want the recurring order to run for a certain period of time and adjust the time for delivery along with custom delivery instructions. As for the frequency of the order, you can set it to run every week, 2, 3 or 4 weeks and select the day/s and time you want the order to send.
But what if I want to make some changes to the order that week I hear you say? A draft purchase of the order will be created the morning it’s due, so you can apply any edits or even cancel the order for that week. We’ll even send you a reminder email an hour before the order sends to remind you.
